What is therapy?
Therapy provides an opportunity to talk in confidence to someone who has the skills and experience to listen carefully and to respond in depth. An aim of therapy is to assist you to make the changes which you feel would benefit you.
I think I’d like to start therapy. What is the next step?
In the first instance, please get in touch so that we can discuss why you are seeking therapy and how I may be able to help you. If we mutually feel that therapy maybe helpful to you, then we can arrange an initial consultation. In some instances it may be that an alternative type of therapy is more appropriate, in which case I will help you to explore different options.
What happens during the initial consultation?
The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to think together about what has bought you to therapy, for me to learn more about you and also for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy and how I work. There is no commitment to begin therapy after the initial consultation and it may be preferable for us to meet together for a further consultation before committing to a regular time together.
How long and how often are the sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place at the same time each week. Appointment times are discussed and mutually agreed during the consultation.
Do you offer online therapy?
I provide online therapy via Zoom for those individuals who may be unable to attend in person.
